Following the purchase of my second Mercedes-Benz
my enthusiasm was kicked into overdrive and I romanticised about going for
leisurely country drives, as well as being able to maintain and care for the
car myself.
Unfortunately reality soon kicked in and my lack of
knowledge, tools and a garage, combined with my fear of breaking something
important, led me to do little more that wash and polish the car.
I did attempt the most minor of cosmetic issues but left all necessary mechanical work to my very knowledgable and competent mechanic.
After joining my local Mercedes-Benz club as
well as countless Facebook pages and groups, in addition to getting involved
with the local motor enthusiast community that surrounds me, I felt my
confidence grow to a point where it is now time to take the bull by the
horns and realise my desire to undertake some of the work myself.
What's the worst that can happen? We will
soon find out!
So here we go, let the learning begin.............
