The Mercedes-Benz ethos is also applied to their spare parts catalogue and information sources. I recall reading somewhere that it is possible to obtain genuine parts for most production vehicles right back to the earliest models! What other car manufacturer do you know of that can do that?
It is worth gathering as much information about your classic car as possible, be that may vehicle specific information, generic service manuals, workshop books or sales catalogues.
